2015 North Texas Wild Hog Round Up

The North Texas Wild Hog Round Up is a 2 day hog hunting contest based here in Wise County, North Texas! 2014 was the first year of the event and this year we are going

Wild Hog Round Up totake it down a notch and just focus on the hunting. We would love too see this event grow and help with the reduction North Texas’ infestation of hogs!

The Round Up is the reason for the event! It is a 2 day hog hunting contest that is in the style of a varmint contest. On March 20th at 6 p.m. the alarm will sound and the hunting can begin! Hunters who sign up will begin trying to kill the most hogs, the heaviest hog, boar with longest cutter, and a 3 hog stringer (avg. of 3 heavy hogs) in order to compete for a money prize and bragging rights! The weigh-in will be on March 22nd at 8 a.m.- 12 p.m. with an award ceremony at 1 p.m. It pays 75% in the 3 categories. Awards Ceremony

To honor those who have won their event in the Wild Hog Round Up we will have an informal awards ceremony to hand out money prizes, and conduct an appreciation to all of our sponsors at 1 p.m. Sunday! Food and drinks will be provided but it may be best to BYOB just in case you like to wet your whistle a little more than others. With out our sponsors this event would not be possible, Thank you!

Entertainment
At 12 p.m. the music will start and then at 1 p.m. we will have ____________ live for your entertainment! We will have lunch catered by Patti’s Catering.

Weigh In and Location

Weigh- In will be on Sunday, March 22, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. You are encouraged to bring your hogs whenever in between those times to have them weighed for the awards ceremony at 1 p.m. Meal and drinks will be provided but BYOB just to be on the safe side.
