2019 Wise County Hog Contest Sponsor Page

TheHuntingGame.com is hosting the 8th Annual Wise County Hog Contest from Monday, February 6th through Sunday, March 5th in Decatur, Texas. This event has already had 100’s of contestants in the past and is still growing.

The Wise County Hog Contest will officially begin on Friday, February 1, 2018 and take place for one month with weigh-ins daily and as needed. Cash prizes will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place. The 1st place team for 2018 was awarded $11,400 for a 332 pound hog. Second place took home $6840 and 3rd took home $2280. We also have a Side Cutter Pot (winner take all) that paid $3740 for a 7+ inch cutter (made record books).

This event has grown tremendously over the past 7 years. The first contest in 2011 only had 27 teams consisting of 2 people on a team. In our 2016 contest we had 139 teams that consisted of people all over the great State of Texas. 2017 had 158 teams and made the 2nd Page of the Fort Worth Star Telegram which showed our sponsors in the picture.
