How Does A Summer Hunting Contest Sound?

I need feedback, that is for sure! I know the Wise County Hog Contest is taking place, but we need something to take place during the summer…

We are planning a North Texas Wild Hog Round-Up here in Decatur Texas which consists of a 2 day, 3 or 4 man team, hog contest.  It will be put together like a varmint contest.  Thinking of having it August 7th – August 9th with the weigh in from 3 – 6pm.

• We will have a weigh in at a designated time
• There will be vendors, sponsors, food, and raffles at the weigh in
• Live band/entertainment (Hopefully Phil Hamilton) after the Awards Ceremony and Raffle
• 75% Payback in all categories
• We hope to have a good turnout here in Decatur.
• Fun for the whole family…

Categories are 3 Hog Stringer, Heaviest Hog Overall, Heaviest Boar, Heaviest Sow, Longest Cutter, and Jackpot (most hogs brought in). We have also reserved the Decatur Civic Center for June 21st and have booked Phil Hamilton in concert (if he will answer his phone via Huey)! Need Vendors and Sponsors, so we will be doing some more posting soon!
